The premier league newcomers will be a team made up of first-team players and reserve players. It’s a season for firsts for the London club playing not just in the premier league but also the first-ever English team to appear in The Atlantic Cup.

Halmstads BK are a Swedish football club also known as Bollklubben formed in 1914. Currently playing in the Swedish second-tier Superettan they will be hoping for a quick return to the Allsvenskan a competition they have won serval times. This will be their first-ever appearance in the Atlantic Cup.

Football Club Copenhagen is a professional Danish football club in Copenhagen, Denmark. FC Copenhagen plays in the Danish Superliga and is one of the most successful clubs in Danish football, with thirteen Danish Championships to their name. After winning The Atlantic Cup 2014 and finishing runners-up in 2020 will this be the year FC København reclaims the title.

Vålerenga IF is a Norwegian football club from Oslo. Founded in 1913, the club is named after the neighborhood of Vålerenga and play their home games at the Intility Arena, located in Valle-Hovin. Vålerenga are five-time league champions and four-time Norwegian Football Cup champions, having last won the league in 2005 and the cup in 2008. Vålerenga were the first Norwegian team to participate in The Atlantic Cup and will make their second appearance in 2022.

Also known as Zenit Saint Petersburg, FC Zenit are the current holders of the Russian Premier League. They are currently still in the Europa League after finishing third in a difficult Champions League group behind Juventus and Chelsea. We look forward to welcoming back former Atlantic Cup Champions for the first time since winning the trophy in 2016.

Brøndby IF is a Danish football club based in Brøndbyvester. The club, founded in 1964 as a merger between two local Brøndby clubs Brøndbyøster IF and Brøndbyvester IF. Brøndby IF are the current Danish Superliga champions winning it for an impressive eleventh time, this is their fifth appearance at The Atlantic Cup.

FC Midtjylland is a professional Danish football club from Herning and Ikast. The team was formed in February 1999 as a result of a merger between Ikast FS and Herning Fremad. FC Midtjylland plays in the Danish Superliga and has won the title three times in their short history last picking it up in the 2019-2020 season. This will be FC Midtjylland fourth appearance at the Atlantic Cup previously winning it in 2012.

Breiðablik UBK is a football club from Kópavogur, Iceland. The club was founded in 1950 and has steadily grown within Icelandic football having won the Úrvalsdeild in 2010, finishing runners-up last season and winng the Icelandic Cup in 2013. This year, they make their second appearance in the Atlantic Cup
